About Isabella
I am an undergraduate student at San Diego State University, with a major in History accompanied by a teaching credential program. I have received two associate degrees from Southwestern College in History and Humanities and two Liberal Arts degrees with focuses on the Arts and Humanities as well as Social and Behavioral Sciences. I transferred from Southwestern College with honors and am currently pursuing a fifth associate's degree in Mexican American studies alongside a bachelor's degree in history. In addition, I have over a year's experience tutoring elementary-aged students in history, reading comprehension, and mathematics.

My normal lesson plans include lectures followed by simplified summaries, often accompanied by inference/connection-based questioning. Subjects can range from elementary school level to high school level, with topics such as U.S. history, world history, ancient history, Mesoamerican history, and some art history. While students may find traditional lectures boring, simplifying subjects into basic "casual stories" and slowly branching out details keeps audiences engaged.
