About Alper
Hi! My name is Alper, and I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Toronto. I am passionate about helping students succeed academically while building confidence in their abilities.
I have experience tutoring students in a variety of subjects and understand that every student learns differently. I take the time to be patient, explain concepts clearly, and adapt my teaching style to match each student’s needs. My goal is not just to help students get the right answers, but to make sure they truly understand the material and feel confident solving problems on their own.
As a Dean’s Honor List student with strong academic achievements in math and science, I bring both subject expertise and a disciplined, structured approach to learning. I am reliable, organized, and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for every student.

I take a structured and student-focused approach to tutoring, with an emphasis on building strong fundamentals and long-term understanding rather than memorization. As a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Toronto, I bring both strong academic knowledge and practical problem-solving skills into my lessons.
A typical session begins with a quick review of key concepts, followed by guided problem-solving where I help students understand why each step works. I then gradually shift responsibility to the student so they can solve problems independently and build confidence. I also provide targeted practice, homework support, and exam strategies based on the Ontario curriculum.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to each student’s learning style. I have experience tutoring a range of students and adjusting explanations until concepts truly “click.” I focus not only on improving grades, but also on helping students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will benefit them long-term.
My lessons are designed for students in Grades 6–12 studying math, advanced functions, calculus, physics, chemistry, and general science.
