About Lizi
I'm Lizi, an artist originally from Tbilisi, Georgia. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Ringling College of Art and Design and am currently pursuing my MFA at the New York Academy of Art. I've been immersed in the world of art since I was just 7 years old, and it's become a central part of my life.
I'm deeply passionate about sharing my knowledge and experiences in the art field. Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of showcasing my work both locally and on the international stage. I believe in a hands-on and personalized approach. My teaching method emphasizes:
Fundamentals First: We start with a strong foundation in various art forms, whether it's painting, drawing, printmaking, or delving into the depths of art theory and history.
Guided Exploration: I encourage students to explore their own artistic voice while providing guidance, feedback, and technical expertise. I will be giving them artist references taylored for their style/taste.
Interactive Learning: Engaging discussions, critiques, and interactive exercises are integral to my teaching style. I promote an open and supportive learning environment where questions and experimentation are encouraged.
Typical lesson plan would include warm-up exercises to loosen up and get into the creative mindset, occasionally watching or reading materials, which will strike the inspiration.
Focused instruction on specific techniques, tools, and materials.
Project Work: Applying newly acquired skills to create art. Projects can be tailored to the student's interests.
Feedback and Discussion: A critical aspect of learning where we analyze the work, discuss progress, and plan for future lessons.
