About Jianshan
Hey! I’m Jianshan, an incoming Computer Engineering student at UPenn on a full tuition scholarship, a first-gen student, and a current web developer intern at a startup.
Honestly? If you looked at my middle school or early high school math grades, you probably wouldn’t have guessed I'd end up here.
I know exactly what it feels like to sit in a math class, look at a blackboard full of variables, and feel like your brain is short-circuiting. It’s isolating, frustrating, and exhausting—especially when you have big dreams of majoring in STEM, securing a spot at a selective magnet high school, or getting into a Top 20 university.
I didn't get to where I am by being a flawless math prodigy from day one. I got here because I figured out how to stop panic-memorizing formulas and actually start understanding how the logic works. Once that click happens, math stops being a villain and turns into a tool you can use to build literally anything.
As a first-gen student who had to navigate the high-stakes world of competitive admissions and technical engineering tracks from scratch, I don’t just want to help you pass your next quiz. I’m here to be the mentor I wish I had when I was struggling.
Whether you're trying to turn your grades around to build a killer college application, gearing up for advanced coding and hardware courses, or trying to ace an entrance exam, we’ve got this. No gatekeeping, no judgment—just a solid game plan to help you level up and claim your spot in STEM. Let's get to work!

Math can feel like an absolute villain sometimes, but if you’re trying to lock in a STEM major, get into a top 20 uni, or secure that magnet high school acceptance, you can’t let it gatekeep your future. I get it—memorizing a billion formulas with zero context is boring and exhausting.
That’s where I come in. I specialize in helping middle and high schoolers take their math grades from "we're cooked" to "we're actually thriving." We won’t just stare at worksheets; we’ll break down concepts until they actually make sense, building up your confidence so you can walk into exams with zero stress.
