About Lindsey
Throughout my academic career, I completed my undergraduate degree in Honors Mathematics at Saint Mary's University in Halifax. During my studies, I maintained a high cumulative GPA of 97/100. I recently completed my MMath in Pure Mathematics at UWaterloo and am excited to share my love of math with students!
I have worked as a Teaching Assistant, primarily for mathematics courses. This included grading student assessments, tutoring, hosting problem-solving sessions, and proctoring. I've loved my teaching experiences, and I find that one-on-one discussions really are the key to filling up those gaps in understanding that come about in many math courses.
I also have experience in research, including an NSERC USRA that resulted in a research paper published. For both my degrees, I completed research papers on areas in algebra and analysis. I'd always be happy to discuss a career in research and what got me to where I am!

As your tutor, I would take the effort to go in depth into a variety of topics in math and prepare you for upcoming tests by deepening your understanding of the fundamentals.
I offer tutoring in the areas of:
• High school math concepts (Pre-Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry)
• Introductory and Intermediate Calculus
• Courses in analysis (Introductory Analysis, Real Analysis)
• Courses in algebra (Linear Algebra, Groups and Rings)
During a session, we will start by discussing what concepts you have found difficult, work through examples together, and tailor a plan to best meet your needs. People have diverse learning styles, and I aim to find what works best for each of my students!
I am excited to share my tips for success as a math student and prepare you for whatever a test or exam may throw at you!
