About Emily
TEFL trained tutor with a lively and engaging teaching style. A highly qualified linguist principally experienced in teaching English as a foreign language. Can also teach French and Italian to GCSE level. I have taught adults and children alike and I get results by tuning in to a pupil's interests, passions and learning styles and working to their specific requirements. My understanding of Italian and French means that I am very attuned to the difficulties that speakers of these languages have with English grammar and conversation and I can therefore tailor classes to work on these specific difficulties. I love watching pupils progress and grow in confidence and work hard to unlock potential. Recent feedback from a parent has been very positive particularly in respect of my ability to nurture interest in the subject and encourage curiosity in the works of literature we have been covering. I am passionate about bringing languages alive and looking creatively at how students learn to achieve the best results. I have known Emily for over 15 years. She is kind, gentle, thoughtful and very very clever. A multi-talented lady with a big heart and a warm smile for all that meet her. She is a natural when it comes to teaching, her gentle manner puts everyone at ease.
Emily is a very caring teacher.
She made me improve a great deal my english both in fluency and pronunciation. Moreover I had the opportuniy to have a dip in english culture. An advantage for me was also that she speaks italian too.
