About WENDY
I have just retired after teaching History and Politics at a girls' school in north London. I have been tutoring both online and in person for more than 10 years, and I love it! I am happy to tutor either in person or online, whichever suits your needs. I am a very calm and encouraging tutor; my job is to give you confidence and to ensure that you leave my sessions feeling more assured about your progress and looking forward to learning.

I have been tutoring both online and in person for 10 years. I am a retired teacher; I taught History and Politics from Years 7 to 13 for 22 years at girls' school in north London. I am also an experienced examiner for History for AQA and Politics for Edexcel. I also have a lot of experience in preparing students for Oxbridge. The typical length of my lessons are an hour; experience has shown me that this is the best length for a session.
My lessons are very much about the student's needs and how they want the lesson to proceed, whether that is going over course material, planning essays, checking previous work or helping with a particular aspect of the course they find challenging. I encourage discussion and debate rather than telling students what to write!
