About Katherine
I love to teach, and have loved teaching every one of my past students. Using a guiding philosophy that learning should be fun, exciting, and confidence-building, I have improved the scientific, humanities, and mathematical knowledge of children entering “gifted and talented” schools; assisted special-needs children with developing reading, writing, and math skills to prepare for secondary school; assisted university students in improving their exam and semester grades through the use of visual, linguistic, and kinesthetic learning methods; and improved the public speaking and critical thinking skills of a nationally-ranked judging team.

I am a veterinary student with a previous degree in Equine Science, and I am happy to give lessons in multiple areas of Biology to all those from primary school to undergraduate level. My teaching style can be catered to each student's style of learning, and I give each student patience, encouragement, and self-confidence. Having tutored in Biology and Biochemistry before, I know that Biology and its subjects can be complicated and challenging, but they are also fascinating, and my goal is to help each student master the subject with curiosity and enjoyment of the learning process.
