About Balvinder
I'm Vin, a 2nd year law student, who loves modern literature and reading hundreds of cases and statutes. Growing up with a sibling, it's always been my job to teach them everything about academics, so in some ways I've been a teacher ever since I've had a sibling. I've also been a teacher to my younger cousins, teaching them not just language subjects, but also Math, Science and History. Sort of a Jack of all Trades! I have a deep sense of responsibility when it comes to teaching, I go up and beyond to make sure the person in front of me understands what I'm teaching them, whether it takes me 2 hours or 2 days, I'll patiently repeat the subject matter again and again until you fully understand it. I'm also a Gen-Z teacher, so instead of toxic teaching styles, learning with me will be a shared experience, where I'll pass on my knowledge to you whilst making sure you don't end up dying of boredom. Expect a lot of current issues to be incorporated into lessons!

My approach to teaching English is focusing on reading and speaking. Once a student masters these two skills, writing becomes a walk in the park. The syllabus will be based of Oxford English, with heavy emphasis on mastering the B1-C2 levels. Reading will focus more on Modern Literature whilst writing styles will range from narrative, descriptive, argumentative and transactional writing, which would come useful to people of all ages in any parts of their lives.
