About Roxane
I started gymnastics when I was 4 and not particularly fond of competition, nine years later I started circus and became a teacher. My main area was aerials, more specifically aerial silk. I taught this art at Cirquenchêne for 6 years. Then I started yoga and became a vinyasa yoga teacher. I did the Yoga Alliance certification in Bali, a training recognized worldwide. I have been practicing yoga daily for 3 years and I have an Instagram page where I share my personal development in this area: @roxy_the_traveling_yogi

Doing vinyasa, my lessons are based on a continuous movement where we go from poses to poses. Generally speaking, I start the course with either an intention or breathing exercises which take between 2 to 10 minutes. Thereafter, we begin the vinyasa flow which is based on a specific goal for the course: Flexibility and / or strengthening of certain parts of the body. The goal changes with each course to strengthen and stretch the whole body. I plan my lessons in advance and adapt them during the course according to the level of the client and her/his desires, allowing me to be flexible and always attentive. I also work with a main goal for long term clients. To guide the lessons, I often use background music and adapt the songs according to the rhythm of the class. I teach in French or in English, and say the name of the asanas in English or Sanskrit. I listen to my clients and make sure that they progress at their own pace.

Roxane est une excellente enseignante de Yoga. Elle sait prendre le temps nécessaire pour expliquer correctement les postures. Elle s’est adaptée à mon niveau débutant en me montrant les positions à avoir et propose des cours variés et intéressants . C’est une fille très enthousiaste, je vous la conseille vivement !!
Roxane was a great teacher. I have only had a few lessons before and am not extremely comfortable with my yoga practice, but she put me at ease and helped me relax and feel confident in my body and my ability. I will definitely have more lessons with her in the future! She is calm and very patient (which is exactly what I need).

Details
The first class is to meet each other and discuss about the main goals of the client. We will also use that time to define the teaching level and to talk about your health in order to know if there are any contraindications with some poses (due to a surgery for example). A short yoga session is included to define the bases of important asanas to make sure you have a good alignement.
