About Sebastian

- What kind of experience do you have?

I engage frequently in performances of orchestral music, chamber music and solo.
I am part of one of the largest viola classes in the country where I am frequently watching lessons and learning various different types of repertoire.
As part of this class I also help newcomers by teaching good fundamental techniques to quality violin/viola playing.
My approach to teaching starts with understanding the basic principles and laying a great foundation to start playing and having fun!

- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

No.

- Where and with whom did you train?

I studied for 4 years with international viola soloist Rivka Golani, who, in 2000, was voted one of the top 100 most influencial living musicians. I have had chamber music coaching from many top chamber ensembles, including the Schubert Ensemble, and have been conducted in orchestras under top conductors including Andris Nelsons, director of the CBSO.
