Hello there! A typical lesson starts with a vocal warm up and daily check-in. I will play a series of exercises on the piano as the student follows along vocally. From there, we will have the opportunity to work on two songs of their choice - focusing primarily on their dynamics, diction, and overall presence when singing the songs. Between songs, we will have the chance to practice some rhythmic exercises as well as sight-singing to improve their overall musical ability. The lesson will end with a cool down, lots of water, and notes for how to practice until our next lesson. This lesson is for everyone - people participating in theater, looking to improve their overall singing ability, or to simply get notes on what they've been working on (elementary-high school students preferred). I pride myself on supporting the singer by providing techniques/exercises that can be used to improve their vocal performance - not simply saying "what sounds good!"
