About Šheil
Hello! My name is Sheila Marie Basio, you can call me Sheil for short. I am a teacher and I have been teaching for 18 years. Teaching is like life to me and I love every minute of it. Also, being a mom of 3 helped me become a better one since to raise kids also means a lifetime of mentoring.
I am highly effective at behavioural management, and focus on the three R’s which are: RESPECT, RESPONSE and the RIGHT way to learn. These have served me well over time. Finally, I look after myself outside of work. I eat well, and whilst I am a massive fitness fanatics, I box, I ran and so hooked on yoga which helps me clear my head and this also helps to reduce stress, too.

When students are having a hard time (behaviorally or academically), I lean into my relationship with them to find a solution. I use what I know about a child’s interests, preferences and strengths to better support them.
