About David

I am an adjunct professor of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine with extensive experience teaching and tutoring medical students across all levels of training. I have worked with students preparing for USMLE and COMLEX Levels/Steps 1, 2, and 3, including first-time test takers and those seeking score improvement or remediation.

My background combines formal academic teaching with individualized board preparation, allowing me to deliver clear, structured, and clinically relevant instruction. I am professional, organized, and deeply invested in my students’ success, focusing not only on knowledge acquisition but also on confidence, efficiency, and long-term clinical reasoning skills.

About the lesson

As an adjunct professor of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, my tutoring approach is high-yield, structured, and exam-focused. I teach students how to think like the test writers by breaking down complex concepts into clear, repeatable frameworks that work for USMLE and COMLEX Levels/Steps 1, 2, and 3.

A typical session begins with identifying weak areas, followed by concept mastery using pathophysiology-first explanations, board-style questions, and rapid-review mnemonics. We then focus on why each answer is right or wrong, ensuring long-term retention and improved test-taking speed.

What sets me apart is my dual role as both medical educator and board tutor—I integrate real exam strategy, OMM-specific test tricks, and systems-based reasoning tailored to each student’s learning style. My lessons are ideal for DO and MD students, whether you are building foundations, remediating weak subjects, or aiming to maximize your board scores.

BEST Tutor EVER – Dr. Dave is a Lifesaver!
This review is way overdue, but I had to share how amazing Dr. Dave is! I worked with him for help on a really difficult statistics assignment in my political science class, and he was an absolute game-changer. I had tried working with another tutor before, but they took forever to reply and honestly couldn’t even help. Dr. Dave responded quickly, immediately understood the assignment, and walked me through it clearly and efficiently—all in ONE session. Not only did he explain the material in a way that finally made sense, but he also made me feel so much less stressed about the whole thing. I came in overwhelmed and stuck, and left the session with confidence and clarity. If you’re looking for someone who actually knows what they’re doing, communicates fast, and cares about your success—Dr. Dave is that person. I can’t recommend him enough!
