My approach includes taking first hand requirements from students and align with their needs which can be different for groups.
outline can be as follows :
1. Overview & Why topic "xyz" is important
2. Drawing out analogies & correlating concepts.
3. Topic-in depth.
4. QnA
As a per-requisite, I request students to read on the topic for class that makes it much for effective. Do not read it extensively. I'll share the way to approach it before class.
