About Uriel
My name is Uriel, and I am a 15-year-old sophomore with over 12 years of drumming experience. Despite my age, I have spent most of my life studying and developing my skills as a percussionist and currently perform at an advanced level as a member of my school’s Wind Ensemble. I also actively participate in performance-based and competitive percussion programs, giving me valuable experience in both individual musicianship and ensemble performance.
As an instructor, I am committed to providing a professional, encouraging, and goal-oriented learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to improve. My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, proper technique, musicality, confidence, and effective practice habits. Because I am a current student and performer myself, I understand the challenges that young musicians face and can relate to them in a way many instructors cannot. Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for marching band, or looking to take your drumming to the next level, I am dedicated to helping you achieve your goals through personalized instruction, patience, and a genuine passion for teaching percussion.

With over 12 years of drumming experience and current placement in Wind Ensemble, my lessons are designed for beginners, intermediate players, and aspiring marching percussionists looking to improve quickly. Each lesson typically includes warm-ups, technique development, rudiment training, reading exercises, timing work, and performance practice. My teaching focuses on building strong fundamentals, clean technique, consistency, musicality, and confidence. What sets me apart is my combination of competitive performance experience, modern practice methods, personalized instruction, and ability to connect with younger musicians while helping them achieve measurable results both on the drum pad and behind the drum set.
