About Justin
Hi, I’m Justin! I hold a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale University, a background that has equipped me with a deep, nuanced understanding of historical and religious studies. To me, learning is a lifelong pursuit; whether I am diving into a new text or exploring a natural history museum, I am always looking for new perspectives to share. As your tutor, my goal is to translate that passion into an engaging, professional, and highly effective learning experience for you. I pride myself on being organized, patient, and completely dedicated to helping you achieve your academic goals.

Hi, I'm Justin! Having completed my Master of Arts in Religion at Yale University, I specialize in bringing complex theological and historical concepts to life. Studying religion and history isn't just about memorizing facts; it's about uncovering the diverse perspectives and cultural shifts that have shaped our world.
Who these lessons are for:
My sessions are designed for a wide range of learners—whether you are a high school student preparing for exams, a university undergraduate navigating demanding religious studies coursework, or an adult learner eager to deepen your historical knowledge.
My teaching method & what sets me apart:
I believe in a student-led, interactive approach. Rather than relying on dry lectures, I focus on collaborative analysis. We will examine primary texts, evaluate historical contexts, and engage in critical discussions. What sets me apart is my ability to balance Ivy League academic rigor with a patient, accessible teaching style that is custom-built for your specific goals and pace.
A typical lesson plan:
The Check-In (5–10 mins): We review previous concepts and address any tricky topics or lingering questions.
Core Exploration (30–40 mins): We dive deeply into the day's text or historical event through guided discussion and critical thinking exercises.
Synthesis & Next Steps (10 mins): We summarize key takeaways and map out actionable, manageable goals for your independent study.
I look forward to providing an encouraging, intellectually stimulating environment where you can build your confidence and truly thrive. Let's explore these fascinating subjects together!
