About Akinkunmi
I am a Biomedical Engineering graduate with a strong academic background in biology, science, and healthcare. My degree has given me an in-depth understanding of areas including human biology, cell biology, genetics, physiology, biomaterials, and medical technology.
Having studied through the Irish education system, I am familiar with the Junior Cycle Science and Leaving Certificate Biology curricula and understand what is expected of students in both coursework and examinations.
I enjoy taking complex scientific concepts and explaining them in a clear, straightforward way. My approach is patient and adaptable, with lessons tailored to each student’s ability, learning style, and areas they want to improve.

offer Biology lessons tailored to both Junior Cycle Science and Leaving Certificate Biology. Lessons can cover topics across the curriculum, including cell biology, genetics, human biology, ecology, microbiology, plant biology, and experimental work.
For Leaving Cert students, I place particular emphasis on understanding key concepts, required experiments, exam terminology, and practicing past exam questions. For Junior Cycle students, I focus on building a strong understanding of the core scientific concepts and developing confidence with exam-style questions.
Students can let me know in advance which topics they are currently studying or finding difficult, allowing me to prepare a focused lesson suited to their level. I can also help with general revision, exam preparation, and identifying weaker areas before exams.
