My approach to tutoring and how I teach my classes
My approach to tutoring is student-centered and supportive. I focus on helping students truly understand Math instead of just memorizing formulas. I explain concepts step by step, using simple language and real examples, and I always check understanding by asking students to explain their thinking back to me. I’m patient and adapt my teaching style depending on how each student learns best.
My lessons usually last 60 minutes, which I find is the perfect length to revise concepts, practice questions, and go through mistakes carefully without feeling rushed. Lessons can include homework help, revision of school topics, or NAPLAN-style questions, depending on the student’s needs.
I am currently a Year 9 student in Sydney with strong results in Mathematics, especially in problem-solving, algebra, and numeracy. I have experience helping classmates and younger students with Math and explaining difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand way. Because I am close to the school curriculum, I understand common mistakes students make and how Math is taught in class.
My lessons are suitable for primary school students and junior high school students (Years 3–8) who need support with Math, homework, or exam preparation. I especially help students who feel stuck, lack confidence, or want clear and calm explanations.
