About James
Thank you so much for checking out my profile! My name is JD Sellers and I've been teaching Biology for 28 years because I love it. I graduated from Houston Baptist University with a major in Biology and Kinesiology. I really enjoy watching students become successful in the classroom when they think they can't. My high energy keeps Biology from being boring because many times the content can be dry. I like to help students simplify difficult content and teach them clever ways to remember the information for the test. I look forward to helping you reach your goals! My favorite thing about teaching is getting to know my students. My ex-students often swing by my room just to say hello and often they ask me if I could teach them in their new classes. I always ask them why would you want that? They say Mr. Sellers you made Biology fun and my other teachers are boring.

As a teacher of 28 years I know that Biology can be very boring and complicated, but I have mastered the ability to make Biology fun and simple. The key to learning is you have to make it fun, engaging, and memorable. I like to use short videos, visuals, and condensed information to get to the point for quick learning up front. Once the basics are understood we go deeper with more details. My Biology lessons are designed for high school students through college.
