About Daniel
I've been playing music since 3rd grade where I became familiar with percussion. Eventually in 7th grade I was promoted to drum set player where we covered rock and jazz. On my own I would explore Latin and other genres via YouTube or any sheet music exercises I could get my hands on. In high school, I joined the marching band where I started on a tom drum freshman year, bass drum sophomore year, and then snare for the remainder of high school. Joining marching band required concert band as well where we covered orchestral percussion. During this time, I was involved in music clubs where I was able to continue to hone my drum set playing and occasionally play drum set for band-related events. In college, I joined the Band of the Hour where I continued playing snare and would take concert band in the fall. During this time, I was able to improve my skills by learning from Teaching Assistants in order to complete the minor.
