About Cathleen
Many players think that speed is the secret to sounding professional on the fretboard. Actually, the most important part of playing guitar is knowing how to listen to the rhythm behind your own fingers.
I create custom backing tracks so you can practice soloing at home with a full band sound. This method helps 311 students bridge the gap between simple chords and complex improvisations.
My 13 years of experience allow me to break down difficult acoustic techniques into simple movements. You will gain control over your performance and find your voice. Keep it simple and keep playing.

Playing an acoustic guitar is my primary way of connecting with the world. You might be surprised to learn that my journey started long before I earned my BM Popular Music at UdeM. With 13 years of experience, I have guided 311 students through the complexities of music theory and the joy of lead guitar.
My focus remains on performance-focused students and those just picking up the instrument for the first time. We cover everything from tuning and maintenance to reading tabs and refining your scales and modes. I balance my technical background with a laid-back approach to songwriting.
