About Afrin
Hi, my name is Afrin and I’m a Year 11 student at Tauranga Girls College. I'm from Bangladesh, however I've lived in New Zealand for 9 years. I’m patient, kind, and have strong time management skills. I understand that every student learns at a different pace, and I’m committed to supporting each person in a way that suits their individual needs.
I aim to create a positive and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and improving their skills. I take pride in being reliable, organized, and approachable, and I always put in my best effort to help students succeed.

I'm currently in Tauranga Girls College as a year 11 (15 years old) and I think I have enough knowledge to share with other students aged from 5-12. In my 3 years of high school I've always been in the extension class and took subjects which are a year above mine. I did slight teaching to kids aged 7-11 and with a younger sister at home, I have some experience in teaching math and English. My strongest subject is science, especially biology and chemistry, however I'm also happy to teach math and English. I want to make sure the students I teach have a fun and positive experience so I'll try making the classes fun with teaching games and keeping patience. Online classes work the best for me, however if face-to-face teaching is needed I'll be happy to do so. Also I'll make sure to keep the students' progress and give reports out to parents so they can keep track of their child's progress
