About Vandhana
My passion for teaching started at a very young age. Since my school days, I would come home, dress up in one of my mother’s sarees, and pretend to be my class teacher — teaching my dolls the same lessons I had just learned, using a little blackboard. What began as childhood play quickly grew into a lifelong dream to become an academic. Teaching, for me, is not just a profession — it’s a deep-rooted passion. I genuinely enjoy helping others understand and appreciate subjects like math and statistics. Seeing my students gain confidence, enjoy learning, and succeed academically brings me immense joy and fulfillment. I believe that with the right support and a nurturing environment, every student has the potential to excel. That belief is what drives me every day as a teacher. Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my passion and commitment to teaching. I was honored with the Outstanding Teacher Award in 2024, and the Outstanding Teacher Merit Award in 2023 for my contributions to teaching as a university lecturer. These recognitions reflect my continuous effort to create an engaging, effective, and supportive learning environment for my students.

Hello! I’m a kind and approachable tutor who believes that with the right guidance and effort, anything is possible. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations to ensure everything is understood clearly. Many students have shared that my voice and teaching approach help them retain information effortlessly—often without needing to review the material again at home!
Each session is tailored to meet the student’s needs and will last up to 1.5 - 2 hours for maximum effectiveness without feeling overwhelming.
I bring over 6 years of experience as a university lecturer, teaching mathematics and statistics to young adults. In addition, I’ve worked as an online maths tutor for students in the UK. I hold a BBA (Special) in Management Information Systems, an MPhil in Business Economics, and am currently pursuing my PhD at the University of Tasmania (UTAS).
I’ve been fortunate to receive excellent feedback from my students, many of whom see me as a mentor and role model.
