About Gabriel
Hey there!
My name is Gabriel. This year, I graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 (68 overall) in BA Philosophy. I am looking to offer my help to Religion, Theology, and Philosophy and Ethics students from anywhere GCSE to degree level.
To get a good grade Philosophy, it is really important to enjoy the topics you may be studying. Once we enjoy them, we can really understand them. I am very good at making Philosophy engaging and interesting for young students - I know the struggle, having had a philosophy tutor myself!
Having only recently completed my studies, I am still very much in touch with the current syllabuses and as such have a fresh an current understanding of them. I developed a critical understanding of what is required to write a strong Philosophy essay - something I am keen to pass on to the next academic generation.
My teaching style revolves around building a proper relationship with the student. I found learning much more fruitful when I genuinely liked my teacher, and so I teach in this mould. I am relaxed, open and friendly. I maintain this while creating clear plans and targets for each session to make sure we are getting meaningful work done. Students will always be more open to learning if the person teaching engages them!
In my final year at university I helped out teaching modules to first years and have also had my own Philosophy tutor in the past, and as such I know clearly what makes a good tutor.

I have known Gabriel for nearly ten years and in that time have got to know him well. He has looked after my 3 boys on several occasions, playing football with them or helping them with their homework. They are all extremely fond of him and regard him as a friend and roll model.
Gabriel is a very positive person to be around. He always appears enthusiastic and interested and is very personable and easy to be around. When Gabriel looked after my children he would do so in a pro-active way, instigating games and activities to keep the boys entertained. They always looked forward to his visits.
