About Guy

I achieved the equivalent to A* in my maths GCSE and feel comfortable teaching and explaining any part of the GCSE or lower level courses to a budding student. I am a Student at the Henley College so uniquely I will he able to relate to the student and hopefully engage with them in a way an Adult cannot. I aim to make maths a fun learning experience.

About the lesson

Ill base my classes around the student. They can tell me their weak points that they want me to go over with them. Or if they are just looking for some extra consolidation I will take them back over the topics they have been doing at school. I also am a strong believer that learning the way maths actually works give u a better understanding of why things are done the way they are, this will help students who are struggling to remember equations or formulae. In order to make maths fun you have to look beyond the GCSE course or any course taught in schools, it is the little number tricks and thinking problems that are the most interesting, these may not he directly needed to the exam but they create a foundation of interest in the subject with which a pupil can move forward with much more enthusiasm and interest
