About John
MY BACKGROUND -
I have taught Liberal Arts courses online and in hybrid formats for UMass Global (formerly Brandman University) for over 11 years. I have worked in Academic and Public libraries for over 17 years. Throughout this time many of the instruction for English related papers and academic research has been a focus of my professional career.
I have a Bachelor's in History 2006 from Cal State San Bernardino and I achieved my Masters in Information Science from San Jose State University in 2012. While working on my Master's degree I also served as an online peer mentor during my degree helping new students to distance education.
I have served in three different public libraries as an adult librarian, I've served in two different community colleges and currently working as a Brandman University Adjunct Faculty member teaching Liberal Arts instruction. The courses I teach focus on Adult Education, Student Success Strategies and technical tools.
MY CONNECTION WITH ONLINE INSTRUCTION -
I took my first online course in 2002 and have been adept at working through course management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and Angel.
MY COMMITMENT TO STUDENT SUCCESS -
My specialty is in technical work for academic classes.
I have assisted thousands of students over my professional career. My focus on adult education has led me to almost finish my EdD Doctorate program in Adult Education. I will make sure that I answer your requests in a timely manner.
As an academic librarian and researcher, I enjoy helping students succeed. My specialty is in APA instruction and the use of library databases and library tools to find research material and peer-reviewed journals. I am an expert APA writer and proofreader. I look forward to helping you with your academic goals!
I am an expert in APA formatting and put this as my calling in using this platform, to help others with the same hurdles I faced in education.
While I do serve high school students as well, I pride myself in my connection to andragogy, adult education and helping adult students achieve the potential in their classes. I am here to assist students through my knowledge of undergraduate and graduate requirements for higher education.
I am very familiar with tutoring processes having served online and in San Bernardino, Riverside, Antelope Valley and the high desert.

I teach APA instruction and academic research processes. I use Zoom and teach using library databases to find students find articles for research papers and improve their understanding of APA for higher education.
- I am a very visual instructor and enjoy assisting working students!
- I am an adult education instructor and teach undergraduate & graduate students.
- I also teach LMS services to instructors such as Blackboard and Canvas use for technically setting up their classes.
