About Catriona
As an educator, I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities- giving me a flexible and adaptable teaching style that can cater to your individual needs and goals. I have a belief that everyone has the potential to excel in English, regardless of their starting points.
I aim to deliver lessons that are both clear and accessible, while still challenging students to develop more advanced skills over time. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into easily understandable concepts, ensuring steady and consistent improvement.
Effective communication is the centre of my teaching, I prioritise creating a supportive and open learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, engaging with the material, and building confidence in their abilities.

I’m an engaging and passionate English tutor, confident in my ability to help students build both skills and enjoyment in the subject. My lessons are designed for learners who wish to improve their ability while also developing a genuine interest in English.
I’ve been teaching since young, from tutoring children at my local orphanage to later working as an assistant swim teacher for students aged as young as 3 to 19. These experiences helped to adapt my teaching style to suit a wide range of ages, abilities, and learning styles.
I believe students learn best when lessons are interactive and engaging, so I focus on making sessions interesting and accessible while also encouraging active participation and confidence. I am particularly strong in providing constructive feedback and gentle correction, while building a positive relationship with my students to support their progress and motivation.
My lessons are for everyone; from as young as primary students to adults. I cater to your needs and current level, regardless of your age.
