About Layton
Hi, my name is Layton! I am a grade 9 student with a deep passion and commitment to math and sciences. I have always moved at an accelerated pace through school, for example I successfully completed an Essentials Math course for grade 11 students earning the credit while still in grade 8, and I am currently taking grade 11 biology and physics. In my upcoming semester I am completing both grade 9 math and grade 10 intro to applied and pre-calculus as double credits. Because I am actively taking these advanced courses, the concepts of math and sciences are extremely fresh in my mind. I know exactly what it takes to have these topics suddenly click in your head and have understanding over them, and instead of confusing professional teacher talk I can translate tricky problems into simple logical steps that make a lot more sense for a younger student.

I love helping students in grades 1 through 7 find their moments where they find themselves a genius. My goal is to make math and sciences less boring and more engaging and stress-free. I can help your child with homework help and understanding classroom lessons, building strong mental math habits and mastery over topics, and preparing for tests with confidence and zero anxiety. I am young myself so it would be incredibly easy to understand children and my maturity at my age allows me to handle them without stress as well.
