About Andrew
I am an experienced saxophone tutor with more than 9 years of teaching college students. My approach to teaching is simple, clear, and student-friendly. I focus on building strong basics while encouraging musical creativity and personal expression. Each lesson is designed to suit the student’s pace and musical interests.
Lessons cover tone development, breathing techniques, scales, rhythm practice, and performance skills. I also introduce improvisation early, helping students gain confidence and enjoy expressive playing. Real-world music examples are used to connect exercises with actual performances.
I use modern teaching tools such as recording analysis, guided practice plans, and interactive play-along sessions. These methods help students clearly understand their progress. Music theory, ear training, and sight-reading are included to support overall musical understanding.
My goal is to help students enjoy learning saxophone while developing skill, confidence, and musical awareness.

My Saxophone teaching style is based on creativity, mentorship, and discipline. I help students build strong basics and understand music deeply. Lessons focus on breathing, embouchure, tone production, finger technique, and reading music.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation and learning music from different styles. I support students as a mentor, helping them grow with confidence. Critical thinking is developed by teaching students to analyze music.
Accountability is built through practice routines and regular reviews. I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Practice, Ear Training, and Scale Studies.
