About Parvathy
Hello! I'm Parvathy, and I've spent the last 13+ years as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, helping students at every level — from school children to postgraduates — genuinely understand the subject rather than just memorize it for exams.
My own academic journey has been fairly extensive: an MCA, M.Ed, and M.Phil, along with clearing the UGC-NET in Computer Science & Applications myself. I say this not to list credentials, but because it means I approach teaching the way a serious student would — I know exactly what trips learners up, because I've been through the same exams and coursework.
Beyond the classroom, I've also worked closely with my institution's IQAC team on NAAC accreditation processes, which involved a lot of attention to detail, structured evaluation, and quality standards — habits that naturally carry into how I plan and assess my classes.
More recently, I completed a Master's Diploma in Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking, because I believe in continuing to learn even after years of teaching. I'm happy to introduce interested students to this field as well, alongside core computer science topics.
What you can expect from me: patience, clear explanations, and a genuine investment in your progress — whether you're a school student building your basics, a college student working through a tough subject, or an adult preparing for a competitive exam like NET or PGTRB. I treat every student's goals as seriously as I'd treat my own.
I look forward to being part of your learning journey!

My teaching approach will be:
I believe every student learns differently, so I don't use a one-size-fits-all method. I first assess the student's current understanding, then adapt my pace and explanations accordingly — using real-life examples and step-by-step breakdowns to make abstract computer science concepts easy to grasp. For exam-focused learners, I emphasize concept clarity combined with structured answer-writing and previous year question analysis. For school and UG/PG students, I focus on building strong fundamentals so that advanced topics feel like natural extensions rather than new hurdles.
Structure of a typical class:
Quick recap of the previous session (5 mins)
Concept explanation with examples/diagrams (20–25 mins)
Practice problems or coding exercises done together (15–20 mins)
Doubt-clearing and short quiz/homework for reinforcement (5–10 mins)
For exam-preparation students , sessions also include periodic mock tests and answer evaluation.
What makes me different:
13+ years of classroom teaching experience as an Assistant Professor, so I know common mistakes students make and how to pre-empt them
I am UGC-NET qualified myself in Computer Science, so I understand the exam from a candidate's perspective, not just a teacher's
Additional expertise in Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking, which I can introduce to interested students as a valuable add-on skill
Experience in academic quality processes (IQAC/NAAC), which reflects in how I structure and evaluate learning outcomes
Who my classes are for:
School students (6th–12th) studying Computer Science/Computer Applications
UG/PG students in core Computer Science subjects
NET aspirants preparing for Computer Science & Applications paper
PGTRB Computer Instructor exam aspirants
Adults or students curious about cybersecurity and ethical hacking fundamentals
