About Aisha
Hi, I’m Aisha. I tutor calculus, economics, and help students prepare for high school exams. I take tutoring seriously because I know how stressful these subjects can feel when they’re not explained clearly. My goal is always to make students feel comfortable, supported, and confident in what they’re learning.
I study financial economics and statistics at university, so I use calculus and economics all the time in my own work. That means I don’t just teach from memory. I understand how these subjects actually work and how they’re tested. I also know where students usually get stuck, so I focus a lot on building strong fundamentals and showing clear steps instead of rushing through material.
Students usually tell me they like how calm and patient I am during lessons. I explain things in a simple way first, then build up slowly so nothing feels overwhelming. I take professionalism seriously, I’m always prepared, and I adjust my teaching style depending on what each student needs. Some students need structure and repetition, others just need clarity and confidence. I make sure both happen.
Outside of school, I enjoy singing, songwriting, and creative projects, which honestly helps me connect better with students. I try to keep lessons focused but relaxed so students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling judged.
If you work with me, you can expect clear explanations, consistency, and someone who genuinely cares about your progress. My goal is not just helping you pass one test but helping you actually understand the material so you can feel confident on your own.

My teaching style is step-by-step and interactive. I usually begin by assessing what the student already understands and identifying gaps in their reasoning rather than just reviewing everything from scratch.
Some techniques I use include:
• Breaking complex topics into smaller, manageable steps
• Explaining ideas in simple language first, then building toward formal definitions
• Teaching students how to recognize patterns in exam questions
• Working through problems together before gradually letting them lead
• Using real examples (especially for economics and applications of calculus)
• Emphasizing exam strategy, not just theory
For calculus and economics especially, I focus heavily on showing full working and explaining each step clearly so students understand the logic behind the math.
