About Julia
I grew up in Manhattan, New York as the oldest of 4 siblings and 2 dogs. I love to read, write, listen to (and occasionally create) music. I'm on the varsity ice hockey team at Amherst College and have been playing since I was 9 years old. I grew up playing all kinds of sports and love to watch/play/talk sports. I'm a huge dog and overall animal lover. I enjoy working with people, being on teams, and learning about new things!

I am the oldest of four siblings, so I have been in the tutor/teacher role for pretty much my whole life! It is certainly part of being a big sister, but I enjoyed finding new and creative ways to teach my siblings the things they were struggling with in school. I love watching that look of ‘ah, I finally understand!’. Learning should be fun, because it is! Sometimes we just need help finding our own way of doing it! :)
