About Anthony

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have been a full time private tutor for 15 years with over 8000 hours experience in tuition helping hundreds of students. I have taught children with Asperger syndrome, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia. Being a full time tutor I am able to offer a very high level of commitment to my students throughout the year/s. I have a very comprehensive library of teaching materials and exam papers. Most of the syllabuses I teach I know inside out.

I also ran a Science Workshop at the family festival "Chilled in a Field" recently.

- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

Yes (enhanced version)

- Where and with whom did you train?

I studied for my degree in the department of Physics and Astronomy at University College London (UCL) part of the University of London and I was on the committee of the Physics Society. While I was at the university the department was rated as the fourth best in the country for teaching physics.

Musically, I regularly attend and participate in Masterclasses with the world's top flautists. During the Summer when I am not so busy teaching, I attend residential courses.

I have performed in masterclass/received private tuition from:
Ian Clarke (Professor of Flute, Guildhall School of Music and Drama)
Wissam Boustany (Professor of Flute, Trinity College of Music)
Ransom Wilson (Professor of Flute, Yale University (US))
Clare Southworth (Professor of Flute, Royal Academy of Music)

- Tell me about some of your current students.

Student A: Was predicted an A for his A-Level Maths. He took tuition to fix some doubts about trigonometry and logarithms and went into his exam confident he would obtain his A. He went on to study medicine at his chosen university.

Student B: After her year 10 exam she was predicted a G for her GCSE maths. When I started tuition with her she was unable to do addition. After a year of very focused tuition she obtained a D in her GCSE which was a remarkable achievement.

Student C: Is currently in her final year of A-Levels. I have been tutoring her for the past 5 years. She obtained an A* and A in Maths and Science GSCE and an A in her Maths AS Level. Before that I tutored her brother in his A-Levels. He went on to achieve a 1st class degree at university.
