I follow a person-centred approach to teaching. I always take time to find out how my students learn best and adapt my lesson plans from there.
I never want to talk over my students or assume their understanding of a topic, so I ensure that all lessons are conversation-based. With that being said, I will make sure to listen to my students first - if you learn best while I sit and talk, let's do that instead!
I understand that being a student is hard, and I strive to make my learning environment as comfortable as possible; nobody wants to learn from a know-it-all. I have the most experience teaching younger students (ages 5-12), but due to the nature of my specialties I am excited to teach all ages and levels of students!
