About Ratna
Teaching for me isn't about getting through the syllabus, it's about making sure students actually walk away understanding what they studied. I bring genuine enthusiasm to every session and create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions without hesitation.
I approach every student as an individual. Before diving into content, I take time to understand where exactly they're struggling and why, so the session is actually useful rather than generic. I'm consistent, punctual, and take my students' time and progress seriously.
My sessions use research-backed techniques like active recall and the Feynman method, which means students aren't just passively absorbing information, they're actively engaging with it. Most students find this approach noticeably more effective than traditional tutoring.

I believe learning works best when it feels like a conversation rather than a lecture, so my classes are relaxed but focused. I start by understanding exactly where a student is struggling, then work through concepts step by step using real examples rather than just reading off the textbook.
I use scientifically proven learning techniques like active recall and the Feynman technique, which basically means I get students to explain concepts back in their own words, because that's when you actually know if something has clicked. These methods are a lot more effective than passive reading or rereading notes, and students usually notice the difference pretty quickly.
A typical class starts with a quick recap of what we covered last time, moves into the new topic with explanation and examples, then we practice together through questions or discussion. I always make sure a student genuinely understands something before we move forward, because covering the syllabus fast doesn't help anyone.
What makes my approach a little different is that I'm close in age to my students, which means I remember exactly what's confusing about these subjects. I explain things the way I wish someone had explained them to me, and I'm very patient about questions, no question is too basic.
I teach CBSE school students up to class 10, focusing on English and Social Science. Particularly good for students who need concept clarity, stronger writing skills, or exam preparation.
