Based in lincoln I have a BSc in archaeological sciences and and MSc in biomedical and forensic Egyptology, along with degree level training in PGCE and education with Tesol. My teaching method is to flexibily tailor the lesson to the students needs [usually success in exams/sats] with the aim of teaching the student how to think rather than what to think.
I have many years practical and theoretical expereince of archaeology wiht extensive practical expereince of teaching and private tutoring over several years. Recent reveiws of my maths tutoring have been 5/5
In my current time of long term tutoring I have taught around 40 students to satisfaction.
Student –school liaison teaching in schools while at Bradford for 1 year on a weekly basis

Informal teaching of primary school children by giving presentations on archaeology at primary schools.
Two terms [of the 3 ]of the practical based PGCE in secondary science at Cheltenham and Gloucester college of higher education.
Occasional outreach projects since then.

In all about 12 months practical experience of classroom centred experience.
Around 25 years field experience of all areas of archaeological excavation and survey.
Including practical experience of Geophysics, field walking and machine watching brief.
Ability to draw/plan to a high standard.
Fully conversant with archival, clerical and computer aspects of archaeological work.
Significant experience of supervision, and of post-excavation analysis and report writing.
Computer literate in a range of office spreadsheet and display software packages
Secondary ‘O’ level Geography, Arithmetic, Art.
Part-time study of Archaeological Sciences. Unfinished four-year course.

Vocational year of the Bradford University course:
Six months in Ladenburg, Germany. Working on finds, recording and photography with some excavation, draught work & general site tasks; including responsibility for managing small excavations/evaluations/watching briefs. Plus some time at a conservation laboratory.
York university environmental archaeology unit. Working on all types of environmental processing and materials, including an analysis of skeletal morphological difference in small mammals .
