About Mai
Hello! My name is Mai and I'm a high school senior trying to earn money for college. I have tutored people with the goal of students getting a good understanding of the topic, even if that means taking time outside of sessions in order to assist them. From my time volunteering as a tutor, I have helped twenty-three people and have learned how to adapt to the student's specific needs.

- I give advice, tips, and lessons concerning the SAT/ACT and their concepts. I try to focus on topics that the student is struggling with and work with the student to find the best strategies that will work for them.
- I usually start off with the main topic of discussion, such as an SAT Focus Skill, by explaining what it is and my advice for it. Then, I walk the student through an example problem and explain how the tips and lesson come into play. I have a set of practice problems that the student will do afterward, and I explain what went wrong and what they did well. This helps ensure that the student understands the topic, and if not, I'll give the student a new way of approaching it. However, I'm free to altering or even devising a whole new lesson structure if needed!
- I scored a 1380 on my last SAT exam and a 33 on my ACT exam, and I have officially tutored 23 students in the subject with extremely positive ratings.
- These lessons are more suitable for highschoolers wanting to prepare for these exams, but I am open to helping anyone no matter their skill level or age.
