About Sophia
As an individual, I've volunteered at the local library, I was an AP student who got a 3 on the AP English Exam, as well as a former English major. I worked as an English tutor for my community college last year. I know AP and MLA Format, and I am well-versed in grammar and punctuation, sentence structure, paragraph structure, thesis writing, and proper citations.

As I am the age of most community college students or high schoolers, I do have that connection as a peer. Furthermore, my primary teaching method is to guide you, not be your editor. For instance, if you have an essay and need help developing your ideas, I will give suggestions, or things you can improve or what you can add to make it better. Typically, if assistance on a thesis, or paragraph structure, or any grammar rules is needed, I will provide a presentation to start, to further introduce the topic. Following that, I will provide small exercises an individual can do or examples. These lessons are for high schoolers (primarily junior to senior level) or early college students.
