About Katie
I have been creating art and displaying it publicly for ten years. Prior to my decision to pursue an education degree, I completed two years of art coursework at Baldwin Wallace University. I currently sell artwork online and take requests for commissioned pieces as well. It's been a recent endeavor to teach art, but it's quickly become one of my favorite subjects to teach.

We will review essential drawing techniques and learn some more advanced methods to produce and enhance texture, shape, value, and contrast in our artwork. Mediums used can include pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal. Lessons can be adjusted based on the student's skill level and based on their goals as an artist. Lessons can be catered to students in grades K-12. A lesson will begin by identifying the student's goal for their artwork, and then we'll discuss the steps we'll go in so that we can achieve that goal. I will demonstrate techniques and then observe as students attempt the techniques on their own, and provide guidance as they apply these techniques to their artwork.
