About Dharam
Hi, I'm Dharam! I'm currently completing my Master of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Melbourne and have over five years of experience tutoring Maths and Physics. I achieved a 98.65 ATAR and have continued to use maths and physics extensively throughout my engineering studies.
I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping students get to the point where a topic that initially seemed difficult finally makes sense. Having been through VCE myself, I also understand the pressure that can come with SACs, exams and trying to achieve a particular result.
I'm patient, approachable and easy to communicate with, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions or making mistakes during lessons. Whether a student is looking to improve their confidence, catch up on difficult topics or aim for a high VCE result, I enjoy helping them work towards their individual goals.

My lessons focus on helping students genuinely understand the concepts they are learning rather than simply memorising formulas or steps. I break difficult topics down into simpler ideas, work through examples step-by-step, and then help students apply these methods independently to practice and exam-style questions.
I adapt each lesson to the individual student, whether they need help building confidence with the fundamentals, preparing for an upcoming SAC or exam, or are aiming for a high VCE result. I also encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and try to create a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable working through mistakes.
I have over five years of tutoring experience across Maths and Physics, working with students from younger year levels through to VCE. My main areas are Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, General Mathematics and Physics.
Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes depending on the student's needs, and I am available for both online and in-person tutoring.
