I and my student(s) will read whatever book they're assigned together, then I'll go over stuff such as theme, author's tone/mood, character development, language used (similes, metaphors, imagery, idioms, alliteration, personification, etc), point of view, conflict,and symbolism. Appropriate video clips, specifically from movies or TV shows, and audio clips will be used when necessary to enhance or provide a better analysis.
