Her second short film, “Topanga,” which she wrote, directed, and produced, won 6 awards in global film competitions and film festivals, including 2 Audience Awards for Best Short Film between 2019 and 2020. In addition to her involvement as an artist, she also served at international film festivals as a juror.
As an educator, Yeltan began teaching acting with the Community Arts Partnership in 2006, while pursuing her MFA at CalArts. She taught, directed plays, and worked at various universities, high schools, and minority theater programs for audiences of all ages. UCLA Recreational Center, Plaza de La Raza, and Keep Youth Doing Something are among the organizations she worked with. Since then, she has taught acting-for-camera classes at universities such as CalArts and Olympic College Film School. She founded her own acting studio in Chicago after teaching at the Chicago Actors’ Studio during her first year in the Windy City. She currently teaches acting classes at her studio, mostly focusing on screen acting, while also covering corporate drama and theater, working with students of all ages and skill levels.

About the lesson

I teach screen acting through a dynamic blend of techniques, combining professional training with real on-set experience. I’ve worked with students across various universities in the U.S., in both theater and film programs.

I hold an MFA in Acting from CalArts and work as a filmmaker, moving between directing and acting. This allows me to guide actors not only in their craft, but also in understanding what truly works on camera—and what directors are looking for.

My classes are open to all levels. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your work, I tailor each session to support your growth. My focus is on helping you build skill, confidence, and presence—while fully honoring your unique voice as an actor.
