About Eralba

Hi! I'm a high school student in Toronto with a passion for helping younger students build confidence and truly understand the subjects they find challenging. With a 98 average, 9 academic achievement awards, and roles as Robotics Club President and Prefect, I know what it takes to succeed academically — and I'm here to help you or your child get there too!

I offer tutoring in math (functions, algebra, trigonometry, geometry), chemistry, and English for students in Grade 11 and below. Whether you're struggling with a tough concept, doing homework, preparing for tests or exams, or trying to get ahead, I'll break things down in a way that's clear, simple, and easy to follow.

As a fellow student, I remember exactly what it feels like to find a topic confusing, but I also remember exactly what helped me finally understand. I'm patient, understanding, and always happy to explain things as many times and in as many ways as needed. No judgment, just learning and improvement!

What sets me apart is that I combine strong academic results with a genuine love for teaching. I don't just give students the answer — I make sure they actually understand the mechanics behind it, so you can tackle any problem on your own.

I'm available evenings (5 - 9) on weekdays, all day on Saturdays, and afternoons and evenings on Sundays!

Let's make learning less stressful and more rewarding! :)

As a high school student, I know what it feels like to struggle with a concept and finally have it click. That experience is at the heart of how I tutor - I don't just recite formulas, I break down problems the way I know a student will understand, using language and examples that would make sense to a young student.

My approach follows three principles:
1. Diagnosis - Every student is different. I start by identifying where the confusion is.
2. Explain - I don't just solve the problem for them. I walk through the why behind every step, so students can learn to tackle problems independently.
3. Practice - I work through similar examples with the students to build confidence, from simple to complex.

For STEM subjects, I use step-by-step breakdowns and visual diagrams. For English, I focus on structure, clarity, and argument-building.

What sets me apart:
1. 98 average and 9 academic achievement awards - I don't just understand the material, I excel at it.
2. Robotics Club President - demonstrates my logical thinking, leadership, teaching, and collaboration skills, valuable for STEM tutoring.
3. Peer perspective - I remember exactly how I learned these topics and what made them hard. I experienced the difficulties, and I know what helped me understand. This gives me a unique edge over adult tutors.
4. High School Prefect - demonstrates interpersonal skills, relatability and friendly cooperation.

My tutoring is ideal for:
- Students in Grade 11 or below
- Anyone struggling with math, functions, geometry, algebra, chemistry, or English
- Students who feel intimidated or bored in a traditional classroom setting
- Those looking for homework help, test prep, and a stronger understanding
