About Amanda
I've been academically trained to study literature since I was a freshman at Brighton High School. I've been through it all: Honors English, AP English Lit, as well as the numerous course hours needed to obtain my undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University. I'm comfortable discussing any course material you need help with from Shakespeare to Suzanne Collins. I've been a tutor on and off for the past eight years and am a qualified level 1 tutor.

Dad always said, "Half of learning is being resourceful." I've taken this to heart and have devoted a lot of my teaching style to help students get organized and think of creative ways to accomplish their academic goals. I also believe that discussing books and ideas is a good way to iron out essay ideas or other complex information. Two heads are better than one and I'm happy to be the second head!
