About Kevin
I'm a Brown University graduate and a California-credentialed bilingual teacher with four years in the classroom, plus training as a behavior technician supporting autistic and ADHD learners. Patience is the center of how I work — I meet students exactly where they are, without rushing or judgment.
I teach through Universal Design for Learning, which means I offer more than one way into every concept so it lands for how each particular mind works. That makes me a strong fit for neurodivergent learners and for anyone who's struggled in a traditional classroom.
Above all, I believe learning happens through relationship. When a student feels genuinely understood and safe enough to take risks, the academic growth follows — and it lasts.

I teach math, science, Spanish, and early literacy through hands-on inquiry — students explore real questions and build understanding rather than memorize. My method is concept-first and student-led: I find exactly where the gap is, start there, and teach so the learner does the thinking, which makes the confidence real and lasting.
A typical lesson opens with a quick check of where the student is, moves into one focused concept through a hands-on or real-world example, includes guided practice where they try it with support, and ends with the student explaining it back in their own words.
What sets me apart: I'm a Brown-educated, California-credentialed bilingual teacher and former behavior technician, so I'm especially effective with neurodivergent learners and kids who've been told they're "behind."
Lessons are designed for elementary and middle-school students, in English or Spanish, including reluctant learners and those who need patient, individualized support.
