About Felicity
Hi, I’m Felicity, a Biochemistry graduate from the University of Bristol and current MSc student at UCL. I’ve always really enjoyed science, especially biology and chemistry, and I know from experience that the right explanation can make a huge difference to confidence and understanding. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping people feel more capable in subjects they may be struggling with, and I’d love to make science feel less stressful and more manageable for students.

I take a friendly, supportive, and structured approach to tutoring, with a strong focus on building confidence as well as understanding. I know science can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I aim to explain things clearly, patiently, and in a way that actually makes sense to each student.
I usually start by identifying which topics a student finds most difficult, then tailor the lesson around their needs. I use a mix of clear explanations, worked examples, recall-based learning, and exam-style practice to help students improve both their understanding and their technique. I also like to break complex topics down into simpler steps, which often helps students feel much more confident.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although I’m happy to be flexible depending on the student and level.
I have a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol and am currently completing an MSc at UCL, so I have a strong academic background in biology and chemistry. My lessons are mainly aimed at GCSE students, but I would also be happy to support younger students in science more generally.
