About Sheila
I am a biochemistry undergrad/ premed student at the University of Minnesota Morris. I've been a tutor for as long as I can remember. The notion of helping someone grasp a concept is, in itself, rewarding. I began tutoring my little sister when I was in high school. Even in college, I hosted tutor sessions for free, not as work study in order to help my fellow classmates, and in turn, helped myself decipher a course that proved difficult. I enjoy being a tutor because it widens my knowledge of things outside my area of focused.

My teacher method is based on understanding the student's needs. Everyone is different when it comes to understanding a material. Therefore, I don't approach a topic how I would want it taught to me. Rather, I tend to play to the student's strength. In order to do so, I try to understand everyone's distinctive way of studying and use it as my tool to reach that student.
