Hi, I’m Emily—a Biological Sciences graduate on the path to medical school, and a passionate tutor who believes that with the right support, every student can thrive. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to build their confidence and curiosity along the way. As a tutor, my approach is rooted in empathy, structure, and empowerment. A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to assess where the student is—academically and mentally. From there, we review key concepts, work through problems together, and then shift to independent practice with feedback. I like to end sessions with a short reflection or recap so the student leaves feeling clear and confident.
What sets me apart is that I’ve been that student who had to be independent and self-motivated. I understand what it feels like to want more from your education, and I bring that insight into every session. With a degree in Biological Sciences and a pre-med track, I specialize in high school chemistry, biology, and general science courses. My lessons are designed for students who are college-bound, aiming to improve their academic confidence, or simply looking to make sense of the material in a more relatable way.
