About Joël
My name is Joel Kabongo, and I have always had a passion for mathematics. I graduated from the university of Pretoria with a degree in Actuarial Sciences, and an Honours degree in Financial Engineering in which I covered a number of mathematical subjects from Calculus to Real Analysis. I tutored first and second year calculus as a part time job in 2022, and as of 2023, I have been working as a data scientist, with a desire to teach part time.

My sessions will be relaxed, exhibiting a comfortable and friendly environment in which students can be themselves and proceed with work at their own pace. I am proficient in English and will thus teach in English. The general culture will be one in which the students approach me with questions on a particular topic in which I will then assist. I am comfortable with teaching Grade 10-12 mathematics and First year university students.
